 opes.\n\nThe 8 fest is a festival for anyone using small-gauge to crea
 te rough little gems on film – personal, handmade, experimental, ani
 mations, diaries, essays, collage, cut-ups, performance/film, music/fi
 lm.\n\nWe present the general public with films from Toronto, across C
 anada and from small-gauge creators and communities around the world. 
 The 8 fest showcases the 70+ year history of small-gauge film – from
  artists' work in the form since the 50's and 60's, to it's wider cult
 ural use in home movies, instructional loops and beyond.\n\nThe 8 fest
  provides a forum for filmmakers who want to show their work on small-
 gauge and for people who want to see this work in its original formats
 . The 8 fest is committed to keeping the exhibition of small-gauge fil
