At the jury session of the "Visual Music Award 2011" on October 4th 2011 took part:

Franz Aumüller - Cultural Attache Cocoonclub & Co-Founder of our visual music award, Gelnhausen / Wächtersbach;

Christian Daul - Scholz & Volkmer, managing director and member of the board of our partner DDC Deutscher Designer Club, Wiesbaden;

Dr. Hans Diebner - INM-Institute for New Media, head of performative science, Frankfurt;

Dr. Angela Schmitt-Glaeser - GROUP.IE, creative director, Frankfurt;

Alexander Graf - MESO Digital Interiors, film editor, VJ, interaction and motion designer, Frankfurt;

The jury was supported by Tania Khan (INM, Organisation and projects). The Jury session took place in INM-Institute for New Media Frankfurt, Germany.

Visual Music Award Finalists

Hello everyone :)

for the "Visual Music Award 2011" there are a total of 90 contributions. Most of them came from Germany (60) but one-third (30) came form Austria, Switzerland, England, Ireland, Italy, South-Korea and Israel.

The jury decided on October 4th 2011 to give two first prizes and one special prize, as well as six honouring prizes in the category "visual music".

Additionally the jury decided to group all installations, live performances and all interactive works in the „visual music live contest“. In the category "live & interactive" we have four honouring prizes.

The „Visual Music Award 2011 is an international competition for creative works about the visualisation of music in the field of new media art, film and animation.

This year we will again expand the "Visual Music Award" by a live-category, our "visual music live contest" for live-performers and video jockeys (VJs)!

All contributions to the „Visual Music Award 2011“ and to the "visual music live contest" should again be interpretations of music by visionary artistic visualisations. The holistic media compositions should come close to “paintings in time”, “symphonies of light and sound”, “space light art” or “visual music”.
